We’ve got a lot of history out here, so why not join us and see it on a mountain bike.  A short 10-minute drive from Alexandra takes us to the start of this great ride, where we will pass rock formations high above the Roxburgh Gorge and explore abandoned gold fields and stone huts left behind by early pioneers. This ride starts with a 40min drive to the Fraser Reservoir, high up on the Old Man Range. From here we ride, gently descending on high country farm roads, to the valley floor below.  Passing by orchards and joining up with the Clutha River trail, which takes us back to Alexandra. Read more »

A scenic 4wd ride from Alexandra takes us to the top of the Old Man Range where we ride south for an epic all day ride on 4wd trails in a stark alpine environment.

This classic all day ride starts with a drive into the Central Otago backcountry. 

We start the ride on some farm trails, climbing into the high-country on a variety of 4wd and single track trails, passing huge rock formations, until we reach the magnificent Poolburn Reservoir and the Rohan film location for the Lord of the Rings. Read more »
