Knobby Range
This is the ride every mountain biker raves about. We drive south to Roxburgh to start our ride near the top of the mountain.
A mixture of high country tussock trails and some exhilarating rocky down hill sections sees us descend towards Alexandra. From here we have the option, depending on your riding ability, of 4 different trails, single and 4wd tracks, which descend into the Manuherikia Valley floor and into our destination of Alexandra.
This is a true classic.

Old Man Range – South
A scenic 4wd ride from Alexandra takes us to the top of the Old Man Range where we ride south for an epic all day ride on 4wd trails in a stark alpine environment.
A ride suitable to most abilities and one that has breath-taking high-country views which take in the unique landscape of Central Otago and Southland and the history of the early pioneers quest for gold.
A light trail lunch will be provided before our final descent into the Teviot Valley.
A truly memorable trip.

Poolburn Loop – Lord of the Rings Scenery
This classic all day ride starts with a drive into the Central Otago backcountry.
We start the ride on some farm trails, climbing into the high-country on a variety of 4wd and single track trails, passing huge rock formations, until we reach the magnificent Poolburn Reservoir and the Rohan film location for the Lord of the Rings.
Here we have time for a lunch break before we start descending through tussock covered farm trails and single tracks to a historic gold mining ghost town, abandoned over 100yrs ago but still preserved today. Return transport to Alexandra.
